Data Minds specializes in providing reliability for all types of wide area networks. Using FatPipe router-clustering products provide intelligent and dynamic redundancy and high-availability for data transmission over private and/or public networks.
It dynamically balances load over two or more connections, and will redirect traffic to available lines should one fail due to a hardware or service component failure.
Data Minds also offers dual and hot-swappable power supplies; and unit failover and remote failover options are available for additional reliability and continuity. Our clients may choose a unit failover and/or a remote location failover scenario. Unit failover allows the end user to setup the primary unit to failover to a secondary unit, where they are both located at the customer premises. The Remote Failover option, called Site Failover, is implemented by companies to support or enhancing their contingency/disaster recovery planning.
Security Enhancement:
Data Minds offers a suite of FatPipe products and add-on features to help secure data transmission over WANs including an IPSec VPN add-on utility, a firewall add-on, FatPipe SpamPolice, an anti-spam and anti-virus device; and FatPipe MultiPath Security (MPSec), available as a feature on all MPVPN and IPVPN units.
Using the IPSec add-on feature, FatPipe provides security using 3DES and AES to encrypt your data transmission. All FatPipe products are also compatible with other encryption devices.
FatPipe’s MPSec, a patented security feature, transmits data in several permutations and combinations between offices utilizing multiple lines in a network, which makes it harder to sequentially trap data flow and decrypt the info in the correct order. The result is increased security of data transmission of sensitive information.
Router Clustering:
Data Minds supports FatPipe's multi-patented router-clustering technology designed for Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructures by providing the highest levels of redundancy, reliability, speed, dynamic load balancing and additional security of IP traffic over any type of WAN.
FatPipe router-clustering devices bond any combination of DS3, T1, E3, E1, DSL, OCN, ISDN, wireless, and/or cable lines. FatPipe offers four different load balancing algorithms for customers to choose from to get the maximum benefit and utilization of all the lines. Customers have the flexibility to work with any type of WAN, creating a system that load balances among multiple managed or CPE VPNs, while still being compatible with Internet based VPNs. Companies can support their private and public wide area networks, even bonding multiple private and public networks together without BGP or any equipment at the provider end.
Customers can even combine private and public lines, providing FatPipe gives customers the confidence and peace of mind that data lines will remain up at all times regardless of router, ISP, line, or backbone failures.
Bandwidth Optimization:
FatPipe Networks can further enhance your Wide Area Network with its optimization products, FatPipe Quality of Service (QoS) and FatPipe Kompressor. Each are sold separately as networking devices or can be enabled from FatPipe router-clustering products that support one or both products.
FatPipe QoS optimizes the efficiency of networks by providing tools that control congestion and prioritize data flow up to ten levels. FatPipe QoS provides granular control over how IP traffic transmits across your network, helping to control WAN costs. One can reduce bandwidth requirements and bottlenecking issues by allocating bandwidth to specific business applications and control recreational traffic via FatPipe QoS.
FatPipe Kompressor increases network capacity up to three times by compressing packet payload and eliminating redundant data traffic over a WAN. (A full T1/1.5 mbps = 4.5 mbps or more with Kompressor). Kompressor significantly increases a network’s throughput without having to upgrade data line connections (e.g.: from DSL to a T1), bringing significant cost savings to the customer immediately.
